Under “Functions” on the left-hand side of the screen, click on the type of tax being paid:
a. Real property
b. Personal property
c. Vehicle tax.
d. Please note: If you make a mistake and need to return to a previous screen to correct information entered, do not use the backspace button. You must exit the website and start the payment process again.
Under “Search by” on the left side of the screen, choose the method to search by:
a. Property ID (PIN)
b. Street address
c. Alternate ID (AIN)
d. Legal description
f. Owner name (default setting)
Enter the information into the search field and click the “Go” button.
If there is more than one search result, select the desired Parcel ID by hovering over the search result (the Parcel ID number will turn blue) with your mouse pointer and single clicking on the Parcel ID when it turns blue.
You should now be on the Overview screen of the property you selected.
Under Records, on the left side, select “Pay Taxes” (highlighted in red).
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should see the any outstanding taxes due.
Click the “Add to Cart” button.
You should now be on the Shopping Cart screen and see multiple payment options.
Select your method of payment:
a. Credit card
b. Debit card
If you selected credit or debit card, select the type of card you are using.
a. American Express
Click the “Continue” button.
You should now see the Parcel ID you are trying to pay, the taxes due, the convenience fee, and the total amount due.
You have the option of paying another account or going to checkout.
a. If paying another account, repeat the steps above until you arrive back at this screen.
b. If you would like to proceed with payment click “Go to Checkout.”
Enter your billing information and review.
Click the “Click to Pay Now” button.
The system will confirm payment was successful and generate an online payment confirmation.
The payment process is now complete and takes 24 hours to post in the Treasurer’s system.
a. If you paid real property or personal property: a receipt will be emailed to you within 48 hours.
b. If you paid a motor vehicle: Your payment was transmitted to the SC Department of Motor Vehicles and you will receive a receipt along with your registration and decal within 10 to 15 business days.
