The Beaufort County Treasurer’s Office announces the mailing of the 2016 real and personal property tax bills, totaling $373,000,000, and the launch of a new website feature that will allow taxpayers to download their original bills. Taxpayers can search using their Parcel Identification Number (PIN), Alternate Identification Number (AIN), or their name, and obtain a PDF of their original tax bill.
"During tax season we receive many requests, by phone and email, from taxpayers who need a copy of their tax bill. These requests contribute to increased wait times on our phones as well as delay the taxpayer from obtaining their document. Once again, we are using technology to offer even more resources to the public while also increasing the efficiency of our staff," said Maria Walls, CPA, Beaufort County Treasurer.
With the unanimous support of Beaufort County Council and the approval of the South Carolina Department of Revenue, taxes are due by February 15, 2017.
In addition to paying by phone by calling 800-830-9996, online at BeaufortCountyTreasurer.com, by mail, or at one of our three locations; full cash or check payments will be accepted at the BB&T branches listed below through February 15, 2017.
