One Year In- It is my privilege to reflect on the first year of my second term as Treasurer. In total, I've spent 9 years serving in the Treasurer's Office and am excited for the innovations we are working on as I begin my tenth year of service.
Collections are ahead
It is incredible that I'm able to share that our collection rate is well over 96%, an increase from previous years. Thank you to each and every one of our customers that have paid. I realize that taxes may be a part of life and especially during these challenging times, my team and I never take for granted the partnership we have with you. You can visit our Data page to find everything from a summary of collections to a spreadsheet of every dollar we collected, by account, if you would like to learn more.
As of July 17, 2020, County Administration made the decision to once again close the County's buildings to the public due to the Coronavirus but we continue serving with innovation and enthusiasm virtually and by phone. My team and I are available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm. If you need to make a payment, here is a quick look at the various payment methods we offer.
Using the envelope provided and remittance coupon from your bill, send your payment by mail with your check made payable to the Beaufort County Treasurer. Please also include your name, address, phone number and RevObjID on your check, all of which can be found on the remittance coupon of your tax bill. A paid receipt will be mailed to you in 7-10 business days. For your security, always put your payment in a USPS mail receptacle and not your personal mailbox.
